The mission of Oakwood High School is to provide for all students a superior learning experience which emphasizes maximizing each student’s academic potential, character development, positive physical growth, and personal opportunities for success.

Oakwood High School serves grades nine through twelve.  The enrollment for the 2009-2010 school year is projected to be 680 students. We have 65 full and part time faculty members on staff.

Once again, Oakwood High School has been recognized by Newsweek magazine as one of the top schools in America.  Oakwood was ranked #275 out of about 20,000 public high schools in the United States and sixth in Ohio out of about 900 public high schools.  This rank is based on the ratio of Advanced Placement (AP) tests taken divided by the number of graduating seniors that year (Class of 2008, in this ranking).  Well done, Lumberjacks and Jills!
